Gas Distributors for Sustainability (GD4S) unites 12 leading distribution system operators (DSOs) from nine EU Member States—Greece (Enaon), France (GRDF), Ireland (GNI), Italy (Italgas), the Netherlands (Alliander, Enexis, Stedin), Poland (PSG), Portugal (Floene), Spain (Nedgia), and Romania (DGSR)—alongside the United Kingdom (Cadent). Together, GD4S members manage more than 929,500 kilometres of distribution networks and provide energy to over 60 million customers. As operators deeply embedded in local communities, GD4S members are committed to supporting the EU’s net-zero ambition. They are enabling the large-scale deployment of renewable gases such as biomethane and hydrogen, ensuring that Europe’s energy transition is secure, sustainable, and people-centred.
