Winners of European Biogas Awards 2022 announced
The winner of the EBA Award in the category ‘Biogas groundbreaker’ is Anaergia. The company provides organic waste to biomethane solutions across the world. The jury recognised Anaergia for its phenomenal growth, dedication to research activities and ambition to accelerate biomethane production at scale in Europe and across the world.
The winner of the EBA Award in the category ‘Women leading the way to climate-neutrality’ is Katrien Verwimp. The jury recognised Katrien’s outstanding expertise, leadership skills and solution-oriented approach to developing the renewable gas certification scheme in Europe.
The winner of the EBA Award in the category ‘Young talent’ is Smallops, a young Spanish company with the goal to address the problem of waste generated in the olive oil sector. The jury recognised Smallops for its ambition and the innovative approach to valourising agricultural waste for biogas production in a truly circular spirit.
