Valmet Oyj to merge with Neles Corporation
Valmet Oyj will merge with Neles Corporation, a Finnish company offering flow control solutions for process industries.
The new company, operating under the name Valmet Oyj, will enable Valmet to offer a stronger and more comprehensive offering to its customers, including energy (and bioenergy), board, paper, tissue and pulp technologies, flow control solutions, automation systems and services.
With an organisation of 17,000 professionals, a global footprint and service network, the combined company will be built on ‘strong industrial logic’ through the combination of Valmet’s current automation systems and flow control solutions from Neles.
In a statement, Valmet said: “Valmet and Neles share the same heritage as well as culture of performance orientation. Together, we will be better positioned to drive innovation and enhance leadership in sustainability and most importantly, to serve our customers even better.”
The merger is expected to be complete in January 2022.
