TTcogen enters US wastewater treatment facility biogas CHP market

TTcogen, a 50/50 joint venture of combined heat and power (CHP) experts Tecogen and TEDOM, has announced its expansion into the US wastewater treatment facility biogas CHP market.

The joint venture already has experience with several hundred wastewater treatment facilities in Europe via TEDOM. Now, TTcogen hopes to be able to transfer and apply that experience to the US market. The corporation’s product line includes units from 35kW to 4MW, intended to meet the needs of residential, municipal, commercial and industrial customers.

Moving forward, TTcogen sees significant potential in the underserved market for smaller CHP projects between 60kW and 500kW, according to a statement.

TTcogen is set to offer a range of CHP modules from TEDOM that are capable of running on a variety of fuels, including biogas and biogas/natural gas hybrid solutions.

The corporation’s reciprocating engine based biogas CHP units are modular and designed to be easy to install, even in a densely packed facility.
