Terravesta launches ‘Harvest Hub’ to help growers upload and access data

Terravesta has launched its ‘Harvest Hub’, a streamlined information management system to help growers to easily upload and access their harvest data.

Launched head of the 2021 Miscanthus harvest, the Harvest Hub will ensure that sustainability data is captured, and in future, the data will assist in growers’ carbon sequestration reporting.

“It’s another step in developing sustainability data, reinforcing the unique potential of Miscanthus,” said Alex Robinson, operations director at Terravesta.

“In response to grower feedback, we have designed a portal to allow each farmer to upload their harvest declarations, update their contact information and access current and historical harvest data, including load figures, bale weights, and moisture content.”

Contractors will be able to upload key information directly onto the hub. “Our contractors will be uploading harvest information such as bales per field, in real-time,” said Robinson.

“The Harvest Hub will ultimately assist in agronomy and research and development, and will be key to increasing crop performance and forecasting yields.”

The new tool is the result of years of experience managing harvest data, studying grower feedback, carefully considering internal requirements and end-market needs and is the most innovative and bespoke harvest management tool available, said Terravesta.

Miscanthus growers will receive vital information on how to use the Harvest Hub in the next Grower Forum Webinar on 12 February.
