A leading biomethane company SFP Group has raised senior debt from ABN AMRO Bank N.V and ING Bank N.V., and a junior tranche from Zencap Asset Management.
The funds will be used for the construction of two 20 MW biomethane facilities in the Netherlands.
The equity will be provided by SFP Group and SWEN Capital Partners. Longspur Capital acted as Sole Financial Advisor on the capital raise.
Including the new projects, SFP Group will produce ~800 GWh of biomethane annually, which the company said is enough to supply more than 50.000 households with green gas every year.
Niels Peters, CEO of SFP Group said: “We are very proud with the trust and support from ABN AMRO, ING and Zencap. This will support our ambition to accelerate the energy transition. A big thank you to the Longspur Capital team for their invaluable support in making this transaction happen.”
François Pasquier, managing director at SWEN Capital Partners said: “We are thrilled to support the growth of SFP Group in its trajectory to become one of the biggest independent biomethane producers in Europe”.
Mark van Zon, director project & infrastructure finance at ABN AMRO added: “We are proud to support SFP Group with this landmark project, following our ongoing commitment to the energy transition in the Netherlands.”
