Scania’s Jonas Strömberg confirmed as one of the speakers at Bioenergy Insight Conference

Uniting bioenergy markets will be the focus for the Bioenergy Insight Conference & Expo 2017.

The two-day event will take place from 4th-5th October in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The unmissable event will be co-located with the Biofuels International Conference and Expo, now in its 10th year.

Bioenergy markets are growing and commercial opportunities exist for organisations wishing to take advantage of this burgeoning and constantly evolving industry.

The Bioenergy Insight Conference & Expo will bring together producers and stakeholders to discuss and network in one of the most underrated cities in Europe, Edinburgh.

Delegates will hear engaging presentations from some of the most influential people in the biomass and biogas sectors and there will be multiple networking opportunities with plant tours and even a whisky distillery tour to make your experience at Bioenergy Insight Conference & Expo an unforgettable one and help foster lasting business relationships.

Scania’s director for sustainable solutions is one of many speakers that have been confirmed for the conference.

Jonas Strömberg joined Scania in 2008. As director for sustainable solutions, he is responsible for co-ordinating Scania’s activities on Sustainable Transportation for buses and trucks.

Previously, he has held positions as:

  • Head of environmental department at Stockholm Arlanda Airport (Sweden's major Airport);
  • Environmental manager at Stockholm Public Transport , Sweden's largest public Transport Company; and
  • Environmental manager at Swedish Railways Freight Division and GreenCargo.

Other speakers confirmed for the conference include Future Biogas UK’s managing director John Scott Kerr and Chris Holmes, managing director at Waste and Energy division for Green Investment Bank.
