Rosetti Marino purchases 60% of Green Methane
Green Methane’s facilities purify biogas from CO2 and produce green methane with characteristics suitable for injecting into the gas distribution network, and for transport.
The firm was selected by Rosetti Marino because it produces biomethane with a high level of purity and because its plants - characterised by high efficiency and low operating costs - are ‘perfectly compatible’ with those for methane liquefaction and methane hydrogen generation already developed by Rosetti Marino through its subsidiary, Fores Engineering. Further, high purity CO2 separated from biogas can be used for another purpose without additional treatment.
Rosetti Marino’s goal is to put itself in the market as an integrated contractor for the entire biogas treatment line. Additionally, Green Methane’s technology represents direct access to CO2 capture technologies, which are essential for achieving the decarbonisation targets set out in the European Green Deal and the COP21 Conference in Paris.
