Roseburg exploring potential new MDF plant or bioenergy facility in the West
The proposed facility would use up to 300,000 bone-dry tonnes of wood residuals each year.
This fibre would be sourced from current company operations and from important existing long-term suppliers. The feasibility study will take place over the next several months, with a decision anticipated by the end of 2022.
In the West, Roseburg owns more than 400,000 acres of timberland in Oregon and operates several wood products facilities in Oregon and Northern California, including an existing MDF plant in Medford, Oregon.
The company also owns and operates one of the world’s largest woodchip exporting operations in Coos Bay, Oregon.
