RENOVA's Tokushima-Tsuda biomass plant in Japan resumed regular operation on 22 December, and is continuing stable operation.
The facility, which is owned by its consolidated subsidiary Tokushima-Tsuda Biomass Power Plant G.K., is powered by wood pellets and palm kernel shells.
The facility began operations in December 2023, but experienced operational problems the following year.
RENOVA announced that the plant would pause operations from September to December last year, to allow permanent improvement works to take place.
The works, which enable long-term stable operation, are now complete.
The impact on the financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025 is already reflected in the forecast released on May 8, 2024, said the company.
Macquarie Asset Management, on behalf of its institutional clients, has provided approximately €420 million of debt financing to Nadara, one of Europe’s largest renewable independent power producers (IPP)
