ReFood’s diverse capabilities

ReFood’s commercial director, Philip Simpson, outlines some of the company’s innovative work, as well as the climate in the UK.
ReFood is a food waste recycler that operates across Europe. In the UK it provides collection and disposal services to hundreds of businesses operating across the food supply chain, recycling 480,000 tonnes of food waste every year at its anaerobic digestion (AD) sites in Widnes, Dagenham and Doncaster.
“Unlike many of our competitors, we offer bespoke collections to suit exacting customer requirements,” said Simpson. “We even produce our own PAS110 certified sustainable biofertiliser from the resulting digestate, called ReGrow, which is used by local farmers to aid crop development and growth.”
Bioenergy Insight asked Simpson to outline a project he was especially proud of.
