PES to provide sludge-to-energy system to Canadian paper mill

Precision Energy Services (PES), a US-based renewable energy technical services provider, has been awarded a contract to engineer, supply, and provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, and start-up of a second paper mill sludge-to-energy system for Atlantic Packaging in Toronto, Canada.

Atlantic Packaging, which owns and operates three paper facilities in the greater Toronto area, was seeking to reduce tipping fees and transportation and natural gas costs by the use of recycled paper mill sludge.

PES is supplying a complete sludge-to-energy system including a PES fluidised bed, a steam generator, and the balance of plant equipment.

PES supplied a fluidised bed combustion system to the Atlantic Packaging plant in 2012.

PES offers a range of services in the areas of combustion and gasification.
