Paques opens new Indian production facility for biogas purification technologies
Dutch wastewater and biogas purification specialist Paques opened on Monday a new factory in India in order to tap the subcontinent’s growing markets.
The new subsidiary Paques Environmental Technology India, located in Sri City on the east coast of South India, is the company’s fourth and most modern sales/production site.
The new approximately 2,500m2 plant is situated in one of India's modern industrial parks, and most of the machinery for the production of internals for the Paques systems for wastewater and biogas treatment were imported from Europe.
Besides India and the SAARC region, the products will be supplied to customers across South East Asia, Japan, and Vietnam.
"With this ‘Make in India’ initiative, Indian industries and municipalities will have access to advanced and innovative robust technologies, which helps them to reclaim energy from wastewater and biogas,” said Stephan Bocken, CEO of Paques Holding.
The production facility is expected to ramp up to full capacity in 2017.
