Organix Energy signs seven-year deal with Global NRG Advisory
The first project in British Columbia will process up the dairy manure of 10,000 cows to produce pipeline-quality RNG, and carbon dioxide captured from the process.
It is anticipated that the new plant will generate up to 227,500 MMBTU of renewable gas into the local network under a long-term contract.
It is envisaged that the Rosedale anaerobic digestion (AD) facility will be one of a number to be developed by Organix across Canada.
Global and Organix have jointly outlined a strategy to reach the wide-ranging opportunity for low-carbon RNG while providing a solution towards GFG emissions from the organic waste producers in Canada including dairy, hog, poultry and cattle ranches.
The Canadian government has set ambitious targets to support extensive large-scale AD to RNG projects. Both Organix and Global said they are aligned towards supporting the Canada Net Zero by 2050 goal.
