KPA Uniocon delivers two steam boilers to Polish sugar factory

KPA Unicon and ERBUD Industry, a leading energy and industrial company in Poland, have signed a contract to replace a Pfeifer & Langen-owned coal-fired sugar plant in Miejska Górka, Poland, with a Unicon MST steam gas boiler - which will use natural gas as a fuel, and have a total capacity of 56 tph. This will result in enhanced energy efficiency.
Pfeifer & Langen is one of the most significant sugar producers in Poland, and KPA Unicon will deliver the equipment in autumn 2023, with the plant being commissioned in autumn 2024.
The KPA Unicon delivery includes two 28 t/h Unicon ST module boilers, as well as burners and boiler auxiliary equipment. KPA Unicon will supervises the installation of the boiler delivery and is responsible for its commissioning. ERBUD Industry is responsible for the installation and automation of the plant.
“The new project that we will implement together with KPA Unicon has been agreed upon because of an exemplary cooperation between the parties and the Investor. We were looking for such a partner. We hope that we will be able to implement further projects together in the nearest future,” said Zbigniew Gładys, member of the board, Erbud Industry.
“I am excited to start a collaboration project with ERBUD. This delivery is perfectly in line with our goal to modernise energy solutions with cleaner technologies and making smaller delivery contracts with our partners in selected target markets, alongside overall deliveries,” said Jukka-Pekka Kovanen, managing director, KPA Unicon.
