Anaergia signs PDA to develop MRF project, produce RNG

Anaergia and its partner Continuus Materials have signed a contract project development agreement (PDA) to convert solid waste to products, fertiliser and RNG in Michigan, US.

Under the terms of the PDA with the Board of the Kent County Department of Public Works, the parties agreed a potential project under which an approximately $280 million (€257 million) material recovery facility would be built by Anaergia and Continuus Materials. The PDA indicates that the initial term of this agreement is to be for 25 years from the start of operations.

The project is expected to be a ‘world-leading’ facility, achieving Kent County’s ambitious landfill diversion targets while supporting its sustainability goals and creating economic stimulus in West Michigan.
