Abandoned building could be developed into wood pellet plant
In Minnesota, US, a defunct commercial building could be transformed into a wood pellet production factory.
The Midwest Minnesota Community Development Corporation in Detroit Lakes received $300,000 (€208,250 million) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide business financing to redevelop the facility.
'This grant will stimulate economic growth and create jobs in Minnesota, while making use of an abandoned site and abundant supply of local resources,' says Antonio Riley, HUD's Midwest regional administrator.
